Mr. Martin Ponciano, RN, LMFT, has been educating students from various disciplines in healthcare since 2005. His professional background include field experience in Med-Surg, Oncology, Telemetry, Gerontology, EMS (former Riverside-County EMT), Hospice, Marketing, Administration and Staff Development, since 2000. Mr. Ponciano has been teaching California BVNPT-approved Vocational Nursing curricula at a Private Postsecondary College in San Bernardino and San Diego and has been joyously serving the community, by producing competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. He has also taught Medical Assisting programs, having taught entire curriculum for Clinical Medical Assistants (CMA). Furthermore, Mr. Ponciano teaches Anatomy and Physiology preparatory course for prospective Vocational Nursing students. Mr. Ponciano's educational background involves a Baccaleureate degree in Biology (B.S., 2002); completion of training and licensure in Vocational Nursing, with a certification and specialization in intravenous (IV) therapy and Director of Staff Development (DSD), (CA VN206256); he holds a Master's degree in Psychology and a second Master's in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT Licensure); Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Primary Group Fitness training and certification (Aerobics Instructor). He maintains a private practice in La Mesa, CA, where he provides client-centered counseling services to individual and families. His passion for education, healthcare, self-actualization and growth, has prompted him to generate this website to assist and ecourage students of various healthcare disciplines to succeed in their career and educational objectives. As he has always said to his students, "We are the TREAT in treatment and we put the FUN in fundamentals!"
